Fuchs completes SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm line-up

SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm will bring two GT4 Germany champions to the GT4 European Series field this season after confirming Cedric Fuchs will share its lead car with Enrico Förderer.

The German team already announced that reigning overall GT4 Germany champion Förderer would make the step up to European competition in its Mercedes-AMG GT4, and he will now be partnered by last year’s German Rookie champion Fuchs.

Fuchs, 19, won the GT4 Germany Rookie title with four class wins last year and was previously also a winner in the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup.

In addition, SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm is working to add a second Mercedes-AMG GT4 to the grid later this season. Joel Mesch, who has been part of the team’s line-up for many years, is set to drive that car.

Team head Thomas Angerer says: “We are currently working to ensure that we can field a second car later this season. We’re short of the budget for this. But we’re currently working hard to raise the necessary funds so that Joel can also compete this year. Following our successes in recent years, we naturally want to achieve the best possible results in the GT4 European Series too, but we’re aware that this won’t be an easy task, as the GT4 European Series is the most competitive series in the GT4 category.”
