Consani and Lariche return to defend their title with Team Speedcar

Reigning champions Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche are aiming to become the first drivers to successfully defend the GT4 European Series Silver title after confirming their return to the grid with Team Speedcar.

Consani and Lariche have been the benchmark drivers in the series across recent seasons, scoring a combined nine outright race wins, 12 podium finishes and nine pole positions since 2023 aboard their Team Speedcar Audi R8 LMS. After finishing a narrow second in the points in both 2023 and 2024, the pair finally lifted the title last season, and in doing so helped Team Speedcar to its first Silver Teams’ championship.

This year will mark Consani and Lariche’s 10th season of competition as a pairing, having started their racing partnership in Championnat de France FFSA GT back in 2017. Across the last decade they have scored an incredible 13 GT4 race wins and 44 podium finishes together.

No driver has ever won the GT4 Europe Silver title more than once since the class was introduced back in 2017. This year Consani and Lariche have the chance to make a piece of championship history if they can defend their crown.

They are the first drivers confirmed for what will again be a multi-car entry from Team Speedcar, with the French team’s other cars due to be announced soon.

Benjamin Lariche says: “I am delighted to return for a tenth consecutive season in GT4, with the same level of motivation as ever. Ten years of challenges, setbacks and success. Ten years of loyalty to Team Speedcar, and ten years of friendship with Pascal Destembert and Robert Consani.

“After the achievement of the 2025 season, which has lifted a lot of pressure off our shoulders, the objective is clear: to try and make history in the GT4 European Series by defending our title.”

Robert Consani says: “Being the reigning champions is a source of pride, but also a responsibility. It is up to us to approach 2026 with humility and high standards.”

Team Speedcar founder Pascal Destembert says: “Our ambition is to match the heights of last year’s title-winning campaign, though this grid's calibre makes defending our crown a formidable challenge.”
