Beaubelique and Pla, runners-up in the Pro-Am Cup in the Championnat de France FFSA GT - GT4 France in 2018 and regular competitors in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS will make a GT4 European Series guest appearance at their home track.
The French pair will be behind the wheel of the #87 AKKA-ASP Team Mercedes-AMG GT4, the same car they share in the French championship. This season, Pla and Beaubelique scored three Pro-Am wins, including an outright victory, and two overall pole positions in GT4. Pla also scored a class win in one of the three GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS races at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
"Unfortunately I couldn't race in my GT3 car this weekend. But I will race for my first time in the GT4 European Series with my mate Jean-Luc Beaubelique," commented Pla.
AKKA-ASP Team is one of four French teams set to compete in the GT4 European Series season finale at the 5.8 km circuit in Le Castellet this weekend. The full entry list will be revealed later today.
