+ Result: Free Practice, Misano
Michiel Haverans and Sam Paley led the way in the first Free Practice session at Misano, topping the times in the TeamFloral Ford Mustang.
Haverans’ final effort was good enough to hold off the NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG of Lluc Ibañez and Alex Papadopulos by 0.2s, with the #71 Elite Motorsport McLaren of Charlie Robertson and Ravi Ramyead third and top in Pro-Am.
As the 38-car field filtered out under bright sunshine, it was the local W&D Racing Team of Paolo and Davide Meloni who set the early pace before Pedro Garcia took a turn at the top of the timesheets in the #74 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin. Robertson then took the Artura over from Ramyead to go fastest with a time that looked set to seal the result.
Haverans then finished his stint with a flier, his 1:41.5s effort stealing top spot away from Robertson, who was then shuffled back to third after Ibañez also found move for improvement.
Spa dominators Gabriele Piana and Thomas Rackl were fourth in their Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport BMW, ahead of Garcia and Clement Seyler’s Aston and the Silver points-leading SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm Mercedes-AMG of Enrico Förder and Cedric Fuchs.

The Melonis were second in Pro-Am ahead of Sacha Bottemanne and Vinny Beltramelli’s Team Speedcar Audi. Mikael and Christoffer Brunnhagen led the way in Am for GR Racing Sweden ahead of Julien Ripert’s Audi, with the class-leading Porsche of Daniel Blickle and Max Kronberg third after only completing a handful of laps.
Free Practice 2 is set for 16:25.
