+ 38-car grid set for action at Misano World Circuit
+ Borusan’s Spa double puts heat into Silver title fight
+ Schubert and W&S show consistency pays in the classes
+ Elektronfest set to supercharge Saturday night
+ Provisional entry list, Misano
The GT4 European Series heads back to Italy next weekend (July 17-19) with the heat turned up in the class title battles as a packed field gets ready for action at Misano.
A total of 38 cars from nine different manufacturers operated by 22 different teams will contest the twin sprint races at the seaside venue, which will host the start of the second half of the campaign.
After six of the 12 races, the clear contenders are beginning to emerge across all three classes, but Misano is always a hotbed for drama when it comes to GT4. A mainstay of the calendar since 2022, three of the last six races held at Misano have been won by half a second or less, emphasising how costly mistakes can be around the 4.2km track. With plenty of heavy braking zones followed by long straights, overtaking chances are plentiful for the slipstreaming GT4 pack, making the races a real highlight for spectators.
The GT4 European Series will again form a key part of the undercard for the GT World Sprint Cup, joining the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, McLaren Trophy Europe and TopJet 2000 single-seaters to create a weekend packed with action.

ELECTRIC ON AND OFF THE TRACK
The weekend in Misano is always a fan and driver favourite, and GT World’s return to the Adriatic coast is set to be bigger and better than ever with the addition of Elektronfest, a massive electronic music festival held in the heart in the paddock.
On Saturday evening as the GT World Sprint Cup entries light up the circuit, Elektronfest will light up the crowd. Designed to celebrate all that is great about the Italian electronic music scene, confirmed acts include Planet Funk, Dj Ralf, L3um4s, Fresco, Cromadisco, Deledda and Viceversa. Entry to Elektronfest is free with all multi-day event tickets, Saturday passes and dedicated evening tickets (entry from 18:00).
For something different, Dinner in the Sky will also be present across the event, offering guests the unique chance to enjoy breakfasts, lunch, aperitifs or dinners while suspended 50 metres above the track close to the start/finish straight, offering a view and dining experience like no other.

BORUSAN FINDS FORM AT A KEY TIME
Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport made a piece of history last time out at Spa, with Gabriele Piana and Thomas Rackl securing the long-running team’s first-ever GT4 Europe double victory, and in doing so catapulting themselves into the title fight.
Piana and Rackl now sit just 30 points behind runaway early leaders Enrico Förderer and Cedric Fuchs in the SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm Mercedes-AMG, who had won three of the opening four races. Borusan has a strong history at Misano too, having had a car on the podium in four of the last six races at the track, with Piana also being an outright winner there in 2023, so there is every chance to gap could close yet more.
Lucas Cartelle and Hudson Schwartz run third for the new CRT-Sport Toyota team but have ground to make up after a tricky last round. Elite Motorsport’s McLarens cannot be discounted, with McKenzy Cresswell and Charlie Hart keen to build on their twin poles and podiums in Belgium. Lluc Ibañez and Alex Papadopulos have thrived at Misano before too, taking their breakthrough win there in the NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG back in 2024. Sam Paley and Michiel Haverans also have strong form after two podiums in the last two events in the TeamFloral Ford Mustang.

SCHUBERT UNSHAKABLE SO FAR
Pro-Am features a strong 15-car entry, with Joakim Walde and Victor Bouveng leading the way through superb consistency so far. The Schubert Motorsport BMW pair have yet to finish a race outside of the podium places, with two wins giving them a healthy class lead.
Daniel Drexel and Chris Salkeld kept the heat on with their second win of the year last time out, but a costly non-score in the Spa opener has left them 48 points off Schubert’s pace. Father-and-son team Paolo and Davide Meloni have scored consistent points to make it three M4s at the top of the table in their W&D Racing Team entry, while Charlie Robertson and Ravi Ramyead run fourth and are hunting their first win in the Elite McLaren.
Am honours will again be played out across a straight fight between W&S Motorsport’s Porsche in the hands of Daniel Blickle and Max Kronberg, Mikael and Christoffer Brunnhagen’s Gazoo Racing Sweden Supra and Julien Ripert’s Team Speedcar Audi. Blickle leads the way by 28 points after twin wins at Spa, with his team-mate Kronberg fourth after missing the season opener.
