+ Result: Free Practice 2, Monza
Team Speedcar’s Audis continued to lead the way in Free Practice 2 at Monza, once again with Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche quickest aboard the #1 car.
For a lot of the session it looked like a different crew would enjoy a spell out front as first Cedric Fuchs (SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm Mercedes-AMG) and then Tudor Tudurachi (Willi Motorsport Audi) took turns at the head of the times. Sacha Bottemanne then returned Speedcar to the top, as he had done in FP1, but Lariche fired a warning shot by getting within 0.06s of the sister R8 before pitting for Consani. Once back up and running, Consani then went fastest of all, 0.2s clear.
The CMR Ginetta shared by Jack Mitchell and Georgi Dimitrov jumped to second and looked set to hold on until Viny Beltramelli returned the #3 Audi to second and secure both the top spot in Pro-Am and a Team Speedcar one-two.
Mitchell and Dimitrov held third ahead of Marco Signoretti and Cameron McLeod’s Academy Motorsport Ford Mustang. Harri Reynolds and Yani Stevenheydens put their Elite McLaren fifth ahead of Fuchs and Enrico Förderer.
Julien Ripert was fastest in the Am class, adding another accolade for Team Speedcar. The Frenchman finished a fraction ahead of Max Kronberg and Daniel Blickle’s W&S Motorsport Porsche.
Qualifying is set for 12:15 on Saturday.
