CRT Sport secures GT4 Europe slot with Cartelle and Schwartz

Belgian team CRT Sport is gearing up to make its debut in the GT4 European Series this season and has signed Lucas Cartelle and Hudson Schwartz to lead its attack with Toyota.

CRT, which has competed for numerous years in both historic and modern rallying, will expand into GT4 competition this year with a single Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo 2, running in the Silver class.

Cartelle made his GT4 Europe debut last year as the wheel of a Chazel Technologie Course BMW M4 alongside Lucas Sugliano. The pair scored four points finishes, including an impressive fourth place in the Pro-Am class at Misano. Cartelle will now switch to GR power for the coming season.

Schwartz made his first GT4 Europe appearance during last year’s season finale at Barcelona, sharing a Speedy Motorsport Toyota with Javier Sagrera and was a top 10 challenger across both races. With a background of competing in USF2000 and Formula 4 competitions across Europe, this will be the American driver’s first full season of GT4 competition.

There are also plans for both drivers to compete in ADAC GT4 Germany also to gain maximum mileage.

Lucas Cartelle said: “It’s official! Together with Hudson Schwartz we will be competing in the GT4 European Series and ADAC GT4 Germany. I’m looking forward to the season starting. See you on the track soon!”

Hudson Schwartz added: “I’m very happy to announce that I will be racing with CRT Sport this year in the GT4 Toyota Supra. I am grateful and motivated to be part of this new project. I’ll be alongside Lucas Cartelle and I believe we can achieve great results.”

Tom Claessen, founder of driver management company ACCT Management added on Instagram: “Turning an idea into a reality requires a structured approach involving validation, planning and execution. Thanks to Toyota Gazoo Racing for their trust. CRT x ACCT are definitely ready to kick off this new challenge.”
