Meloni marks 10 years of GT4 with 2026 W&D Racing Team entry

Paolo Meloni will reach a decade of GT4 European Series appearances this season after confirming he will return to the grid this year to share the familiar family W&D Racing Team BMW with his son Davide.

Having made his GT4 Europe debut back in 2016, Paolo will reach 10 years in the series at the wheel of a Pro-Am class BMW M4 GT4 Evo, in what will also be the 39th anniversary of the San Marino-based W&D Racing Team.

Paolo Meloni brings with him huge racing experience, having previously competed in the Italian Touring Car Championship, Superstars Series and Formula Renault before making his GT4 debut.

Former British Formula Ford driver Davide made his GT4 Europe debut with selected races alongside his father back in 2023, so this year will be their third full campaign together. Davide and Paolo enjoyed a flying start to life together in the series, scoring four Am class podiums together during their maiden campaign. They have been podium finishers in both full seasons since, including a season-best result at Misano last year that helped them on their way to eighth in the class points.

The Meloni family are keen to continue that forward momentum this season, and hopefully mark Paolo’s anniversary with some silverware.

Paolo Meloni said: “The GT4 European Series is an environment we know very well and one in which we have grown season after season. The level of Pro-Am is high, and we continue to work to be competitive in a championship that has demonstrated great solidity and organisational quality over the years.”

The opening round of the 2026 GT4 European Series takes place at Circuit Paul Ricard over the weekend of April 10-12.
