The champions of the 2025 GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club were honoured during a stunning celebration in the historic city of Venice, Italy, this weekend (Saturday, November 22).
Hundreds of attendees gathered for both the afternoon ceremony and grand evening gala, held in the historic Scuola Grande della Misericordia located to the north of the city and standing as one of its finest and most storied venues. First built in 1308, the 14th century building was a school for the first 500 years of its life. Featuring breathtaking architecture, hand-painted frescos and stunning stone arches, the 26,000 cubic metre Scuola Grande della Misericordia is now one of Venice’s most important spaces, playing host to the finest events.
Fitting then that the champions of 2025 took centre stage across a glittering ceremony. On what was their ninth season racing together, Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche finally got their hands on the Silver title they craved, claiming four outright race wins in their Team Speedcar Audi. They were joined on stage by Matmut Évolution Toyota drivers Jan Duran and Hadrien David, with Duran also being named Rookie of the Year following the pair’s three race wins late in the season. Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport’s Gabriele Piana and Berkay Besler collected their prizes for third place.
Pro-Am champions Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub were honoured as their trophies were collected by the Mirage Racing Aston Martin team. Hendrik Still and Joachim Bölting were second for W&S Motorsport, with Viny Beltramelli and Nicco Ferrarin picking up their third-place awards after a race-winning campaign in the JSB Competition Porsche.
It proved a double celebration for the W&S team in Am, with Max Kronberg and Daniel Blickle securing the drivers’ title and W&S taking the Teams’ honours. Antoni de Barn picked up the second-place trophies for he and Chazel Technologie Course team-mate Jean-Mathieu Leandri. Mikael and Christoffer Brunnhagen celebrated third place with their Toyota Gazoo Racing Sweden team.
Indian acting superstar Ajith Kumar also capped an impressive debut GT4 Europe season by picking up the Philippe Charriol Award, given to an outstanding amateur driver who races with speed, humility and sporting nature.
Planning has long-since begun ahead of the start of the 2026 GT4 European Series campaign, which will mark 10 years since the current three-class format was introduced, and 20 since the birth of the GT4 formula. The season begins at Circuit Paul Ricard in France across April 10-12.
