Ali & Reema Juffali join the grid as Elite expands to twin McLarens

Elite Motorsport will be back up to a full squad of McLarens for the GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club season finale in Barcelona, with Ali and Reema Juffali joining the team in a second Artura.

Brother and sister Ali and Reema will race alongside the regular #78 entry of McKenzie Cresswell and 2024 Silver champion Josh Rattican, bringing Elite back up to a two-car entry. The British team ran a pair of McLarens for the full 2024 campaign, but this will be the team’s first twin attack this season. The expansion follows Cresswell and Rattican scoring the team’s first outright race win of the year last time out at the Nürburgring.

Saudi racer Reema made her GT4 Europe debut with a one-off outing aboard an Aston Martin at her home circuit of Jeddah for the season finale last year, scoring an Am class podium. The 33-year-old has also competed in British Formula 4, International GT Open and the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS where she went on to found her own Theeba Motorsport team. This year she has raced GT3 machinery in both the Asian Le Mans Series and Middle East Trophy.

Ali, 22, began his racing career in the British Ginetta GT Academy series with the Elite team in 2024. This year he is racing in the Ginetta GT Championship and leads the Am class points driving a G55. Barcelona will be both his first race outside of the UK, and first with a GT4-spec car.

They will compete in the Am class for the final two races of the year at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya over the weekend of October 1012.

Reema Juffali said: “Ali and I have spoken about sharing a car since he began racing and I’m really looking forward to finally making it happen. Barcelona is a one-off event, but you can never rule out the possibility of more in the future.”

Elite Motorsport team owner Eddie Ives added: “We’re delighted to welcome both Ali and Reema to the team for the season finale in Barcelona. It’s a very special moment to see a brother and sister competing together at this level, and we’re proud Elite Motorsport can play a part in that milestone. Ali has made great progress with us this season and this event will be an important step in his development, while Reema brings valuable experience from international racing. We’re confident they’ll make a strong pairing and it’s a fantastic way to close out our season.”

The Juffalis join an already family-friendly grid that features two father-and-son teams in Paolo and Davide Meloni (W&D Racing Team BMW) and Mikael and Christoffer Brunnhagen (Toyota Gazoo Raving Sweden Supra), plus brothers Hugo and Thibaut Mogica (CMR Ginetta).

The Juffalis will be the first brother-and-sister team to compete in GT4 Europe since Andreas and Jessica Bäckman shared a Racing One Aston Martin in 2023.
