2023 was an anniversary year for the French outlet, as it was exactly 60 years ago when the “Bienvenue” service station (and later BMW-Mini dealership) was opened in Royan, and 40 years since owner André Grammatico started his racing career in a BMW 323... The team crowned this historical year with a record five race wins and a runner-up Silver title in the French FFSA GT championship, and that outright European victory in Spa-Francorchamps.
“We were pleasantly surprised by how competitive and how easy to handle the new BMW M4 GT4 has turned out to be”, André Grammatico explains. “Five wins in France and that stunning one in front of a 60-car strong field featuring the best of Europe's GT4 racers have encouraged us to aim even higher for 2024!”
That means Ricardo van der Ende and Benjamin Lessennes will return to the GT4 European Series Powered by RAFA Racing Club, but this time for the entire season and with the Silver Cup title as the main goal. And who knows if it will turn out to be of significance that André Grammatico and his team won their first Am Cup title in the series in 2014... precisely 10 years ago. Another historical celebration in the making?
