Back to Barcelona, Imola returns: 2027 calendar highlights

A return to both Imola and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya are the highlights of a refreshed 2027 GT4 European Series calendar.

The 2027 campaign will be played out across 12 races held at six events, with five of the six circuits being modern grand prix venues, meaning the GT4 Europe field will take in some of the finest circuits across the continent.

Once again, GT4 Europe will form a key part of the GT World experience, with all rounds running in support of the world’s biggest GT3 contest, giving the field the unrivalled exposure of competing in front of world-class teams and manufacturers.

The season will once again begin at Circuit Paul Ricard, which has hosted the opening round for each of the last two seasons. Joining forces with GT World and the GT2 European Series, the weekend will take place across April 17-18.

Imola returns to the schedule for the first time since it hosted the opening round of 2022, with the Emilia Romagna circuit set to be a welcome addition to the schedule across May 22-23.

GT4 Europe will again be a core part of the support package for the 24 Hours of Spa in 2027, with entries being part of the traditional pre-event parade before two races will be staged across Jun 25-26 ahead of the start of the world’s biggest GT3 race.

Misano holds its ever-popular mid-summer slot on July 17-18 before the series returns to its Dutch roots with a visit to Zandvoort on September 18-19. The season will finish in Spain, with Barcelona resuming its traditional spot as the season finale on October 23-24. The track has hosted the seasonal showdowns four times since first appearing on the calendar in 2021.
