Razoon – more than racing lines up with twin BMWs

Razoon – more than racing will return to the GT4 Europe grid this year with twin BMW M4s for Önder Erdem/Gustavo Xavier and Daniel Drexel/Chris Salkeld.

The Austrian team made its GT4 Europe debut back in 2019 and has been a regular on the grid since, regularly challenging for podiums across the classes with both BMW and Porsche machinery.

For 2026 its GT4 Europe efforts will be streamlined into a one-brand programme, with twin M4s running in the Pro-Am class.

Retuning for a second season together, Erdem and Xavier will again team up. The duo, who were unable to contest all of last year’s races together due to Erdem’s professional commitments, demonstrated good pace, particularly towards the end of the season, and achieved strong results in the Pro-Am class at the Nürburgring and in Barcelona.

In the second car, long-standing Razoon driver Drexel will compete alongside Briton Salkeld. Salkeld was champion in the GT4 Pro-Am class of British GT in 2023 and won the 24-hour race in Dubai in the GT3 Am category in 2024.

Önder Erdem says: “I’m delighted to be back in the car, it’s incredible! I’m already looking forward to the season in the GT4 European Series. We didn’t have much preparation over the winter, but I think we’re both very experienced drivers and, with our skills, we can make it onto the podium and achieve good results in the European Series. We have a very good team.”

Gustavo Xavier says: “I’m looking forward to another season with Razoon and Önder Erdem in the GT4 European Series. We had a lot of untapped potential last season and I’m now looking forward to chasing podium finishes once again.”

Daniel Drexel says: “I’m looking forward to competing in the BMW in the GT4 European Series as well as the ADAC GT4 Germany. It will certainly be a new challenge, but there are only advantages to competing in two series. The aim will be to consistently achieve good results in the Pro-Am class and work hard to collect points.”

Chris Salkeld says: “I’m really exited to join Razoon for the upcoming GT4 European Series season racing the BMW M4 GT4 Evo. It's a new start, new chapter, new team, new teammate for me, but very exited to hit the ground running next week in Paul Ricard.”

Team boss Dominik Olbert says: “We are looking forward to this year’s GT4 European Series season. Our two BMWs will compete in the Pro-Am class. With Daniel, Gustavo and Önder, we are relying on long-standing Razoon drivers who are familiar to us all and whose strengths we know inside out. Chris is also joining us as a highly experienced GT3 and GT4 driver who has already achieved success in national and international GT racing. We are confident that his experience will be of great help to us! We want to fight for top results in the Pro-Am class this year.”
