+ Result: Free Practice, Circuit Paul Ricard
Robert Consani and Benjamin Lariche picked up where they left off from 2024 by setting the pace in Free Practice at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Having won the last four races of 2024, the Team Speedcar Audi again found itself on top in the first official session of the year, with Lariche’s early best proving enough to keep the #3 R8 LMS GT4 top of the pile.
Gregory Guilvert set the early best in the sister Team Speedcar Audi, before Lariche hit the front on lap five with an effort that would keep the car clear by 0.3s.
Likewise, Guilvert and new team-mate Paul Petit remained second, with the Vic’TEAM Mercedes-AMG shared by Eric Tremoulet and Olivier Jouffret taking third overall and the top time in Pro-Am.
Running was briefly interrupted by a red flag when the #87 Matmut Évolution Toyota stopped on circuit with 20 minutes to go, and improvements were scarce over the final few minutes.
Baudoin Detout and Clément Seyler were fourth in their Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin while Ford Performance Junior Team drivers Erik Evans and Marco Signoretti rounded out the top five in the Academy Motorsport Ford Mustang.
With Vic’TEAM out front in Pro-Am, second went to Aleksandr Vaintrub and Stanislav Safronov’s Mirage Racing Aston Martin in seventh overall, both cars clear of the W&S Motorsport Porsche shared by Hendrik Still and Joachim Bolting.
Toyota Gazoo Racing Sweden led the way in the Am class, with Christoffer and Mikael Brunnhagen scoring the top time in their GR Supra. Antoni de Barn and Jean-Mathieu Leandri were second in the #317 Chazel Technologie Course BMW, ahead of Daniel Blickle and Max Kronberg’s W&S Motorsport Porsche.
Pre-Qualifying is scheduled for 08:30 on Saturday.
