The Nil Montserrat-led team will field a solo Mercedes for Lluc Ibáñez and Xavier Lloveras in the Silver cup of the pan-European racing series.
Lluc Ibáñez will return to the Spanish team for his second season in the series, after a successful debut season in which he scored a second-place finish and a pole position at the penultimate round of the season at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands.
Ibáñez’ teammate will be 20-year-old Xavier Lloveras, who raced in the Formula Renault Eurocup between 2017 and 2019. Ibáñez and Lloveras already raced together, in the NM Racing Team Ginetta in select races in 2018. Both drivers were part of the lineup that won the GT4 class in the 24 Hours of Barcelona.
“I’m happy to partner with Lluc Ibáñez for the GT4 European Series with NM Racing Racing and I’m eager to repeat the success we achieved in 2018,” commented Lloveras.
"We are happy to confirm our full season participation in the GT4 European Series with two young Spanish drivers. Lluc Ibáñez and Xavier Lloveras are two promising talents and together with our new Mercedes-AMG GT4 we are expecting a good season," added team principal Montserrat.
The 2020 GT4 European Series calendar consists of six rounds, all held together with the GT World Challenge Europe. On July 25-26, the championship will get underway at Imola in Italy.
