The father and son team of Paolo and Davide Meloni will return for the full GT4 European Series Powered by RAFA Racing Club season in 2024, aiming to build on an impressive debut together last year.
The San Marino-based pair will handle W&D Racing Team’s G82-generation BMW M4 GT4 for the full season, having made their first outings together in the series late last season.
Paolo is a well-known face in the paddock, having competed within SRO series since 2016 and most recently shared a W&D-run BMW with Massimiliano Tresoldi during his last full GT4 European Series campaign back 2022.
Davide, 23, moved into GT4 racing last year, having found his feet competing in Formula Ford in the UK. He grew in pace alongside Tresoldi as the season wore on, and won his first race on home turf in Misano. His father joined the team to share the BMW for the final two rounds last season – Hockenheim and Barcelona – and the duo finished on the Am class podium in all four races, including second place in both races in the Spanish finale.
The combined results mean Davide finished fourth in the Am class points last year, with Paolo still securing a top-10 finish having only contested four races.
Now back for the full series together, the family duo will be aiming to continue their habit of taking home trophies in 2024.
