Thursday's Official Test Session kicks off post-summer break action at Hockenheim

After a tentative first hour of driving, drivers started to push stronger through the 17 corners of the 4.5 km Baden-Württemberg circuit. That resulted, just before the session's halfway-point, in a strong 1'46.674 lap for the SRS Team Sorg Rennsport #94 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS of Ekelchik/Möller-Madsen. A lap that would remain on top of the boards until the end of the session.

Two other Porsches would claim second and third overall: the #23 Overdrive Racing (Bostandjiev/Lefterov) and the #30 W&S Motorsport (Still/Kronberg), the latter being quickest of all Pro-Am entries in this first Hockenheim session.

Just shy of the top 3, season regular front-runners #3 Team Speedcar Audi R8 LMS GT4 (Lariche/Consani) lapped fourth quickest overall, and the #74 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 (Weyrich/Villagomez) settles for P5, a mere 0.3 seconds slower than the leading Porsche.

The #77 Elite Motorsport with Entire Race Engineering McLaren Artura GT4 (Rattican/Emson) showed some good form to claim the sixth quickest time of the day, just in front of the #18 TSR Team Spirit Racing Aston Martin of Stegmann/Lungstrass at P7 overall and second quickest in Pro-Am Cup.

Fastest Am crew were the championship leaders Piguet/Varutti in the #10 AVR-Avvatar Porsche at 17th overall, and the #442 W&S Motorsport Porsche in 18th place, in the hands of Gustavo Xavier and Charles Dawson, who returns to the series after missing out on the previous rounds.
