Spa-Francorchamps Pole Positions for #42 Saintéloc Junior Team Audi and #23 Overdrive Racing Porsche

* #42 Saintéloc Junior Team Audi makes early Q1 lap time stick throughout the session
* #23 Overdrive Racing Porsche quickest in Q2, sharing front row in Race 2 with #78 Elite Motorsport McLaren
* #55 Autosport GP LS Group Performance Alpine takes fifth out of six Am pole positions this season

Early effort proves rewarding for #42 Saintéloc Junior Team Audi

Just a few minutes into the first Qualifying session, Grégory Guilvert pushed hard in the #42 Saintéloc Junior Team Audi which he shares with Christophe Hamon to put a 2'29.515 lap on the boards. An excellent start within a sigh of last year's quickest qualifying lap here at Spa-Francorchamps, which kept the #42 Audi on the top of the boards throughout Q1.

The battle for Silver pole position saw another Audi – the #3 Team Speedcar – going head-to-head with the #24 JSB Competition Aston Martin. The latter came out on top to claim 2nd overall just 0.122 second behind the Audi, and the Silver pole for Race 1. The #55 Autosport GP LS Group Performance Alpine took the Am pole position from 28th overall.

Briefly interrupted Q2 headed by large Silver-field with #23 Overdrive Racing Porsche on top

A short red flag interruption following a spin by the GT4 Scandinavia #298 M-Bilar Racing Group Racing BMW at Les Combes resulted in a tricky Q2, with just a short window to plan the perfect flying lap.

When the session restarted with 15 minutes on the clock, Silver teams showed their experience and managed to take up the entire top 14. The #12 Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport BMW will start tomorrow's Race 2 from third place. Front row positions go to a more surprising #78 Elite Motorsport McLaren in 2nd, and the #23 Overdrive Racing Porsche who takes overall pole position.

Quickest non-Silver qualifier was the #55 Alpine at 15th overall, taking his fifth Am pole position out of six races this season. The Pro-Am entries in Race 2 will be led by the #36 Code Racing Development Alpine from P20 overall.

Spa-Francorchamps Qualifying, finally, proved challenging for the GT4 Scandinavia entries on the grid. Best result in Q1 was noted by the #290 Toyota Gazoo Racing Sweden Supra GT4 EVO (Skaras/Holmlund), while they will slot in just behind the #221 RMS Mercedes-AMG (Ricknas/Ward) on the starting grid of Race 2.

Pole positions decided. Time now to look ahead to Race 1, tonight at 18.40 CEST, streamed live via the GTWorld YouTube channel. Race 2 will conclude the Spa-Francorchamps weekend on Saturday afternoon. Start given at 13.15 CEST.
