Xwift Racing Events is the brainchild of Belgian entrepeneur Pieter Denys, who is very happy to announce the step up towards the GT4 European Series: “The team's successes in various competitions in recent years, are the result of very professional work by a whole group of passionate staff. Over the winter, all pieces of the puzzle fell together to shift up a gear and set up this programme in the GT4 European Series, together with one of the most successful brands in international motorsport!”
Xwift Racing Events will enter a GR Supra GT4 EVO, built by Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe, for two very talented young drivers: Etienne Cheli from France and Antoine Potty from Belgium.
“We are well aware that this will be our first season at international level”, Pieter Denys continues. “However, with these two strong, young guys behind the wheel of a very well-developed GT4 car, we can be ambitious at the same time.”
Antoine Potty, turning 20 this April, already has quite the resume in racing. He was successful in karting, but has also been one of the regulars in the GT4 European Series since 2020 and, in 2021, became vice-champion driving a Supra. Meanwhile, he has also bagged a seat as one of the test drivers for the GR Supra GT4 and know the car inside-out.
Etienne Cheli, 22 years old, is the older of the driver duo, and has had a similar career. A solid karting education on the national and international scene sent him off to both the French FFSA GT4 championship and the GT4 European Series, also at the wheel of the GR Supra GT4 and gaining solid experience on the way.
