W&S Motorsport confirms three-car Porsche line-up for 2023 season

German team W&S Motorsport (the “W&S”-initials referring to founders and team bosses Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas) made its debut in the GT4 European Series just last year, but impressed from the word go, was able to claim the driver's title in Am-class and ended the season just two points short of a team crown in the same class. For this year, the Swabia-based team returns with three 718 Cayman GT4 RS, two of which already assigned to crews who will be competing in Pro-Am.

German duo building on last year's experience

The first confirmed crew is all-German, with Max Kronberg and Hendrik Still fighting together once again for championship points in Pro-Am. The German duo gained a wealth of experience in last year's season, which they ended 8th in the Am driver rankings.

Max Kronberg says: "I am really looking forward to another season with W&S Motorsport and Hendrik at my side. We gained a lot of experience last year and had some good results. The pace is there and we are very well prepared."

Hendrik Still confirms: “It really was my wish to extend our partnership and build on the progress we made together in 2022. I am confident that we can race even more consistently at the front of the field and perhaps even have a say in the Pro-Am Championship title.”

International duo eyes up Pro-am competition

The work in the cockpit of the second Porsche Cayman GT4 in the Pro-Am classification is shared by Charles Dawson from Great Britain and Gustavo Xavier from Switzerland. The Swiss with Brazilian roots already coached Dawson in the past and both were able to celebrate victories and podium finishes together in other series.

Charles Dawson expresses his enthusiasm: "2022 was just my first season in motorsport, where Gustavo and me won a class championship in the NES500 series. The GT4 European Series is a BIG step up and we must be realistic. Our aim is to gain experience for the 2024 season and consistently score points in our class."

Gustavo Xavier shares that opinion: "I think we are ready to take the step into the GT4 European Series. We will continue to increase the performance curve over the season and fight for points in Pro-Am from the first race."

Seats in third car still available
