Bastian Buus remains quickest in final Zandvoort practice

The Danish driver posted a 1m47.676s on a drying track in the final minutes of the 60-minute session, right before a red flag brought an early end to the session. Timothé Buret (#66 CMR Toyota) took second, ahead of Theo Nouet (#27 AGS Events Aston Martin).

Buret’s fastest lap was 2.382s slower than that of the Allied Racing driver, who even put in a faster sector 1 time before the red flags came out as a result of the #31 SRT Mercedes-AMG going off into the gravel at turn 11.

Lluc Ibanez put the #15 NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG in fourth place overall, ahead of the Pro-Am class entered #12 Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport BMW and #21 Allied Racing Porsche.

Before he brought out the red flag, Dutchmanb Bob Herber managed to take seventh place overall. His compatriot Mark van der Aa posted the eighth fastest time, despite losing a lot of time early in the session with mechanical issues on the #110 RN Vision STS BMW.

Completing the overall top 10 were Duncan Huisman in the #99 V8 Racing Chevrolet and championship leader Gabriele Piana in the #111 RN Vision STS BMW.

The GT4 European Series teams will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, with qualifying set to get underway at 12.05 local time and the first of two one-hour races set to start at 18.00. Qualifying and race will be shown live.
