The Dutch team ran one car in the first two rounds of the season at Imola and Misano, but will now also field the #99 Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R at the Nürburgring.
Thijmen Nabuurs and Jop Rappange will continue to drive the #17 entry, but are joined by 2017 GT4 European Series Pro-Am champion Duncan Huisman and Jorge Cabezas Catalan.
Cabezas drove for NM Motorsport in three rounds of the 2019 GT4 European Series, including the season final at the Nürburgring. This season Cabezas joined Madpanda Motorsport in the opening round of the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup at Imola, but the withdrawal of a sponsor cut short his GT World Challenge plans .
“I am very excited about the V8 Racing project. I've known the team's technical managers for some time now and we're already working to make my adaptation to the car as fast as possible and to fight for great results”, Cabezas commented on his return to the GT4 European Series.
Teammate Duncan Huisman returns to the series after missing the final round of 2019 and the first two rounds of the 2020 season. The Dutchman won the Dutch GT4 title in 2013, was crowned GT4 European Series Pro-Am champion in 2017 and has been V8 Racing in various series since 2013.
"I am very much looking forward to be back in the GT4 European Series after being away for more than a year. I'm looking forward to fight for top six or maybe even podium finishes with Jorge and the V8 Racing Camaro", added Huisman.
V8 Racing is set to run both cars in the remaining four rounds of the 2020 season. The next round takes place at the German Nürburgring on September 4-6.
