After competing in Dutch national series last season, Nabuurs and Rappange move up to international racing in the GT4 European Series with the powerful Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R of the Dutch team.
“Both Jop and myself are two young guys with relatively little experience with only one full racing season to my name. Still, I believe that with this driver line-up and this car we can surprise a few people and aim high,” said 23-year-old Nabuurs.
V8 Racing team owner Rick Abresch has high hopes of his new drivers. “It always is a fantastic experience to be able to work with new people and when you immediately work well together and they have proven to be quick, you can’t help yourself but get enthusiastic for the upcoming season, how strange the global circumstances may be,” Abresch commented .
“We all know how competitive the GT4 European Series is but we also know that if we keep working hard we are able to do a very good job this year,” he added.
V8 Racing and its drivers have been out testing the Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R ahead of the season opener in Italy on July 25-26. The Dutch pair will compete in the Silver class of the series.
