TeamFloral-Vanspringel will make its debut in the GT4 European Series Powered by RAFA Racing Club at Spa this weekend, adding a third new Ford Mustang to the grid.
The Belgian team has extensive experience of competing with Ford machinery, having been a partner of the Blue Oval since the 1980s and more recently competed in single-make Fiesta championships and in endurance racing with different versions of GT machinery.
This weekend the team will join the GT4 Europe grid for the first time, fielding a new Mustang S650 GT4 for drivers Nathan Vanspringel and experienced racer Nico Verdonck, who will return to the grid for the first time since 2022.
The arrival of TeamFloral-Vanspringel brings to Mustang count to three, joining the twin cars from Academy Motorsport.
TeamFloral owner Jean-Marc Valckenaere says: “The arrival of Nico represents incredible added value for the team, not only in terms of development and driving of the Mustang GT4, but also for the functioning of the team itself.”
Verdonck adds: “A brand new car, a new team and a new challenge. It's a lot, but I will in any case do everything possible to support the team and this initiative as best as possible. I will try to help Nathan, a talented young driver who still needs to gain experience, while providing technical advice to the team. But above all, I would like to thank TeamFloral and the Vanspringel family for trusting me in this adventure”
