BCMC Motorsport and EastSide Motorsport become one and switch to Aston Martin

BCMC Group Shareholder Sebastian Genssler explains the strategy behind the common approach: “By merging we are consolidating the structures of sport/engineering, marketing and sponsor support. We want to remain at the top of the GT4 field, but also prepare for a GT3 programme in 2025. We are looking forward to working with Aston Martin, who have impressively demonstrated in recent years that they are one of the leading brands in GT racing.”

For 2024 then, the goals have been set: the new team will compete in the GT4 European Series Powered by RAFA Racing Club, alongside a campaign in the German GT4 championship, running the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.

"I'm really looking forward to this new project. Furthermore, I am proud that we can offer this new program full of opportunities to young drivers from our own ranks", says Virginia Möckl, the team's Chief Engineer. After all, one of the cornerstones of the company is to mould young talent. Drivers in the new outlet will have the opportunity to take part in the Aston Martin Academy. There will also be an all-important new hospitality centre, where the team wants to create a proper feel-good atmosphere for team and driver sponsors.

Looking further ahead to 2025, the plan is to start a GT3 programme, building on the experience and driver talent from within the team. “This is a perfect way to manage healthy growth and to set feasible targets. It allows us time to prepare for the next step in the best possible way”, concludes Florian Schön, EastSide Motorsport's Team Principal.
