MDM Motorsport officially confirmed that it will return to compete in the GT4 European Series with its BMW M4 GT4s. The team also announced its first driver pairing
Simon Knap will return to defend his title in the Silver Cup, in what will be his sixth full season in the GT4 European Series.
The 30-year-old Dutchman partnered American driver Alec Udell during the successful 2019 campaign, but will be part of an all-Dutch lineup in the upcoming season as he’s joined by youngster Daan Pijl (16).
Pijl will step up to the GT4 European Series after two season in the Dutch Ford Fiesta Sprint Cup. In 2019, Pijl clinched the junior and overall title in the Dutch championship.
Knap and Pijl recently completed a first pre-season test in the MDM Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 at the Zolder circuit in Belgium.
MDM Motorsport is close to finalizing the lineup of its second entry for the 2020 season, which gets underway at Silverstone on May 8-10.
