The Swiss team has been a regular in the GT4 European Series since 2019 and is looking to build on a strong 2021 season, during which it finished fourth in the Pro-Am standings.
For the coming season the team welcomes back experienced driver Jacoma and also Fontana, who returns to GT4 action for the first time since 2019 to form an all-Swiss effort.
Jacoma, 49, is no stranger to the GT4 European Series, having celebrated two Pro-Am race victories in a Ticino-run Porsche last season on his way to fourth in the class points partnered by Max Busnelli. Jacoma, general manager of Centri Porsche Ticino, has a long association of racing with the Stuttgart brand, having been a French GT champion back in 2002 and a class winner at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019 all in Porsche cars.
Fontana, 29, returns to the wheel of a GT4 car after a successful two-year stint in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, during which he claimed last year’s Silver Drivers title with the Emil Frey Racing Lamborghini GT3 squad. Fontana has also lifted a Silver Cup title in the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2018 and was a European F3 Open champion back in 2011. His last GT4 outings came in the Chinese GT championship in 2019.

Alex Fontana said: “I am really excited thinking about the all-Ticino competitive project that will see me involved this year in the GT4 European Series, a European championship that is growing more and more in both quality and quantity. I accepted with great enthusiasm to race with Centri Porsche Ticino, and with Ivan: we have all the credentials to aim for the Pro-Am class title. For the sport of the Canton of Ticino it would be a great feat and we will do our best to make the dream come true.”
