The Pit Stop Challenge, introduced this season, rewarded the pit crews getting closest to the minimum pit stop time set for each weekend. The times of the two pit stops were added together and the fastest pit crew received a cheque after the second race of each weekend. Points were also awarded for the top ten fastest pit stops in the races, according to the regular points scoring system used in the series.
