AKKA ASP finshed fastest in the second practice for the GT4 European Series round at Circuit Paul Ricard this evening.
The second one-hour session saw the top three cars of this morning’s practice session back in the top three. This time the #87 Mercedes-AMG topped the timing screens as the chequered flag was shown. Jim Pla’s fastest lap was a 2m14.062s - just under two tenths slower than earlier in the day.
Gregory Guilvert in the #42 Saintéloc Racing Audi claimed the second-fastest time in the session - after taking third in the opening practice session - and completed a Pro-Am one-two overall. Guilvert was just 0.030s slower than fellow French driver Pla.
Third overall was Markus Lungstrass in the #18 Hella Pagid - racing one Aston Martin. The German managed to go to the top of the Am classification with a lap that was just three tenths of a second of the pace of Pla and Guilvert.
Fastest in the Silver Cup was CMR’s Antoine Potty. The young Belgian put the #8 Toyota fourth overall, ahead of the #55 Mirage Racing Aston Martin and the #70 Trivellato Racing by Villorba Corse Mercedes-AMG.
The #718 Centri Porsche Ticino, #88 AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG, #89 AGS Events Aston Martin and the #15 NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG that won both races here at the end of last year.
Qualifying for the third and fourth race of the 2021 season will take place tomorrow. The GT4 European Series cars are out on track to qualify for Sunday’s races at 11:55. The session will be live on the series’ website and social media channels and SRO Motorsports Group’s GT World YouTube channel.
