2025 ENTRY: Meloni family back for more with W&D Racing Team

The family-run W&D Racing Team will be back on the grid for this year’s GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club, with father-and-son Paolo and Davide Meloni going for glory in the Pro-Am class.

This year the San Marino-based team celebrates its 38th anniversary in the sport, and will field its BMW M4 GT4 Evo in the full championship schedule.

Paolo is a hugely experienced driver, and a regular name in GT4 Europe having made his championship debut back in 2016. Prior to that he has competed in the Italian Touring Car Championship, Superstars Series and Formula Renault.

Son Davide first joined forced with his father in GT4 Europe in late 2023 before the pair embarked on their first full campaign together last season. With his own single-seater background in British Formula Ford, Davide has proven himself in GT4, with he and Paolo scoring four Am class podiums from their first four races together in 2023. The pair competed in Pro-Am last season, celebrating a second-place finish at Spa on their way to eighth in the championship standings.

In what will be their second full championship campaign together, the pair are aiming higher for the coming season.

Paolo Meloni says: “We are a small family-run team and we have gone from a crew categorised Am up into the Pro-Am category. Considering the number of the cars in this class, for us an ambitious goal will be to arrive in the top five at the end of the championship. We are structuring ourselves internally to try to achieve this goal. I also would like to congratulate the entire of SRO for organising a very nice championship across the years.”
