W&S Motorsport doubles up with second Porsche for Kronberg & Still

Kronberg (35) graduates to the European stage following an impressive 2021 season, in which he won the Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey Racing title with W&S and was also a class winner in the Nürburgring 24 Hours. He also made six race starts in GT4 Germany as a toe in the water ahead of this season.

Still (34) has extensive experience in GT racing with a long list of successes in both domestic, European and international competition, including titles in the Porsche Super Sports Cup Germany, VdeV Endurance Series and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East.

Alongside their GT4 European Series campaign, both drivers will also compete in the full GT4 Germany season with the W&S team.

Max Kronberg said: “It will be an exciting year in two challenging championships. With the team and Hendrik at my side, I want to drive at the front of the top-class field and continue to develop myself. Our new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport is a fantastic car with which we can achieve top results. The variety of legendary race tracks on the calendar makes the anticipation even greater.”

Hendrik Still said: “I am very much looking forward to the new challenge and to being part of the W&S Motorsport team. I have known Max for many years and we already did some test drives in his first ADAC GT4 Germany campaign last season. I also got to know the W&S Motorsport team and immediately felt very comfortable. I already know both GT4 championships from previous years. In GT4 Germany I was already able to score some podium finishes and a victory. I'm looking forward to being back in the GT4 European Series field and I'm convinced that we've put together a strong package of team, car and drivers for 2022.”

W&S Motorsport team principal Daniel Schellhaas added: “I am very happy to have Hendrik and Max in the team. Max knows GT4 Germany from his guest starts last year. He impressively proved that he is fast in the Porsche Cayman GT4 as winner of the Manthey Trophy in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). With such an experienced racing professional as Hendrik at his side, our second Cayman will certainly be able to fight for podiums and victories both domestically and in the GT4 European Series. We now have a strong Porsche duo for a highly competitive championship, for which we are well prepared.”

This announcement follows news that W&S has joined forces with Russian racing team ISKRA Motorsport to field the GT4 European Series’ first all-Russian driver pairing.
